Summer Updates – Higher Efficiency!
If you’re a current customer, you will know that we like to keep busy during the summer period and work on ways that we can perform better for the next winter season.
This year we have been particularly busy on the following updates…
New buildings
If you have been to see us recently you will have seen the progression of two new buildings being erected on the premises. We are very pleased to now have all of our fuel undercover, all year round. These new buildings will allow us to stock more products, but more importantly, ensure that every product that we stock is kept under cover.
New transport
Earlier this year, we invested in additional transport for our local deliveries. Our new truck is a 7-tonne vehicle, that is able to carry 3.5 tonnes of product. Inline with our other vehicles, the size allows us to deliver to hard to reach addresses that may have restricted access or small lanes that typical delivery trucks struggle to get to. In addition to this, the vehicle has crane off facilities which allows us to leave heavy products as close to your specified area as possible.
Alternative products
As a result of Brexit, we have found that some of our popular products have gone up in price. This is a direct impact of the value of the pound against manufacturers importing materials from Europe. Where possible, we try and keep our fuel prices the same to help our customers budgets. In some cases, this is not possible for us to do as a business. Therefore, we have researched other products to offer as a low cost alternative. You will now see that we stock two new products called Newburn and Homeflame.
Bagging plant
Throughout the summer we have also modified the bagging plant. We will soon be offering 20kg bags of coal and smokeless fuels. In addition to this, we have upgraded the weighing system and that now allows us to bag at a much faster rate . We have also added a new screening facility and new continuous bag sealer .

On a final note, we have a brand new website! We have been working with a fantastic company that have allowed us to develop a website that is more user friendly, contains more information, and makes ordering online a lot easier!
