Over the past couple of weeks, we have been working on a new website feature to make our online shopping experience better for our customers.

What is it?
This new feature is called ‘Our Smart Pallet Calculator’. The smart pallet calculator caters for customers who live outside our free delivery catchment area. Once you have entered your postcode on the checkout page, you will be presented with a ‘filler bar’.
This filler bar allows you to visually see the total weight of the product you have added to your basket. In addition, it also shows you the amount of weight you can add, with no additional delivery cost.
How does it work?
If you live outside of our free delivery catchment area, your order will be delivered to you by a pallet company. You will, therefore, receive a delivery cost based on your postcode.
The delivery cost you receive is a fixed cost, based on a full pallet delivery. This means that you can add up to 1000 kg of product, without being charged any more for your delivery.
Our Smart Pallet Calculator will work out the weight of the products in your basket, and tell you if you if you still have room to add more products to your pallet, without being charged any additional delivery costs.
Why does it benefit you?
Buying solid fuels online is very different from most other online shopping experiences. This mainly comes down to the weight of the products, and the delivery methods.
For far too long, buying fuel online has been too restrictive. Typically, you have to buy at least half a tonne of one product. However, shopping online for your fuel should be like shopping in a supermarket where you can buy what you need, in whatever quantities that you like.
Our website allows you to buy fuel in any quantity that you like. Now, Our Smart Pallet Calculator allows you to maximise the amount of space on your pallet, meaning you have the option to make the most out of your delivery cost. To see our new feature in action, click here.
